It had been over a year since I had heard Todd Duncan say at the Sales Mastery convention in Palm Desert, California that we should create our own networking groups. In that year I searched high and low for a leads and/or networking group that had the culture I was looking for. I knew how much effort it would take to get this group off the ground on my own and I was very reluctant to take on that giant. Unfortunately, it was starting to become very obvious that the culture I was looking for in these types of groups did not yet exist and if I wanted to find groups like this I would first have to create one.
“How much business can I get from this group?”
“What can I take away from this group?”
This seemed to be the common culture of the groups I was visiting. I on the other hand was looking for a group that was full of people with a giving (not taking) spirit. My idea was that if everyone in the group was worried about giving to everyone else, then you wouldn't have to worry about getting. You will have a room full of people worrying about that on your behalf. I decided to enlist Brian Engelhard, Chad Pasley, and Steve Traffas; three very trusted friends and local professionals to help share in the burden of creating something very different in the professional networking world.
The loop now exists and we are growing weekly. We successfully find professionals in our market place with this giving spirit and meet regularly to give to our hearts content.
